Online field trips are a fun break for little ones (and their adults) when we can’t get to the zoo or aquarium. Local attractions are using Facebook to offer online visits to some of our favorite creatures! Check out these Utah Online Field Trips that are adding new content every week…some every day!
We’re Going to the Zoo
Utah’s Hogle Zoo is posting online field trips every week day, taking us along with keepers to visit the animals. Past videos are all available on their Facebook page after the live stream! You can paint with rhinos, see the adorable red pandas, and lots more. Videos also include educational topics, enrichment activities for the animals, and more.

Under the Sea
The Living Planet Aquarium is also bringing their animals to you over Facebook. Their quick takes include going for a walk with Uno the penguin, and explaining how some bugs walk on water.

Visit Feathered Friends
Tracy Aviary has created a virtual aviary on their website and Facebook to show of their beautiful residents. Videos invite us to join them for storytime, feed the pelicans, and paint with macaws!

Virtual Thanksgiving Point
The gardens, museums, and animal visits at Thanksgiving Point are all closed. We are sad to miss the tulips, but they’re sharing some really fun videos on Facebook. Their videos have everything from science experiments to a bug show! Follow them on Facebook to know when their next live presentation will be so you can ask questions!

Support our Local Attractions
All of these facilities are currently working hard to take care of the animals and creatures while remaining closed. This is a great time to buy tickets and memberships for the future! They are also accepting donations to help maintain their facilities during this time. They are closed but still caring, so please support them if you can.
