Summer brings us to market season! While it’s looking a little different than past years, many Salt Lake City Farmers Markets are still taking place. We’ve gathered up the details for those that are opening, as well as the changes you should be aware of.
Thank you for supporting local vendors and farmers with patience and flexibility! Happy shopping!
Salt Lake City Farmers Markets
Downtown Farmers Markets are happening now on Saturdays at Pioneer Park! Tuesday markets start in August.
- Saturdays at Pioneer Park, June – October, 8am – 1pm
- Tuesdays at Pioneer Park, August – September 4pm – Dusk
There are some extra precautions and protocols for both of these markets, as outlined on their Covid page. Handmade craft items and entertainers will not be at the market this year. Shoppers should wear masks and social distance, shop quickly, and follow traffic flow directions. You may use reusable bags and SNAP Exchange and Double Up Food Bucks will be available. Meats, fruits, vegetables, packaged food and other agricultural products will be available, however there is no prepared food or eating at the market.
9th West Farmers Market
The 9th West Farmers Market is located near the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City. The market takes place on Sundays, with opening day for 2020 being June 28th. While working to protect vendors and shoppers, the market is offering curbside pickup via online ordering. They are also allowing some onsite shopping by placing an order that a market employee will then gather for you.
Items to purchase include local food items such as produce, honey, eggs, hamburger and sausage, chips and salsa, Millcreek Olive Oil Company products, and more. Check out their blog for more details on how to support and participate in the market.
Wheeler Sunday Market
